In response to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, Ice Cream maker Ben & Jerry’s has announced a complete boycott of the Jewish state.
“What is happening in Palestine is not in line with our values as an Ice Cream company” says Mark Hamilson, President of Sales for the activist brand. “We will do what we can to punish these horrific aggressors and their crimes against the peaceful Palestinian people.”
To aid in the Palestinian relief effort, Ben & Jerry’s is releasing the new Limited Edition flavor ‘Mango Muhammad.’ Inspired by the chosen prophet of the Islamic faith, this fruit-flavored frozen treat features chunks of real mango in a smooth vanilla ice cream. Half of all profits from the new flavor will be donated to a number of Palestinian charities.
The new flavor will debut in August.
